How it works

Three changes you'll feel by Tuesday.

From Epic to live on Vita averages 11 days. Most clinicians cut after-hours charting in half by their second clinic day.

DR · 0:02
So how's the sleep been since we increased the sertraline last visit?
PT · 0:08
Honestly much better. Falling asleep by 11. The morning grogginess went away after week two.
DR · 0:24
Good. BP today is 128 over 82, that's a little high — your home log shows 122 average, so let's stick with 10 of lisinopril and recheck in three months.
PT · 0:38
That works. Also the vitamin D — should I keep at 2000?
DR · 0:46
Let's bump to 4000 IU. Your level was 24, we want it 30 to 50.

Provider story

"I reclaimed two hours a day from charting purgatory."

Our practice ran on Athena for nine years. Beautiful workflows on the demo, hostile in real life. By 2024 every clinician was charting until 9pm. Two of my partners had started referring out anything complex just to keep the day finite.

Migration to Vita took 13 days. Real days, not "implementation days." Within a month we'd dropped after-hours charting by 80%. We added two new patient slots per day per provider — and nobody is staying late. The first quarter we used Vita we collected $48k more than the same quarter prior year, on the same schedule.

FAQ

The questions a real clinician asks.

More? [email protected] — a clinician will reply, not a sales rep.

Interoperability — do you actually do CommonWell and Carequality? +

Yes, both. We're a CommonWell connected member and a Carequality participant. Outside-records pull is one-click from the chart. We also support TEFCA via our QHIN partner (eHealth Exchange). Direct messaging via DirectTrust is bundled. The full list of interfaces is published at vita.health/interop and we keep it current.

Migration from Epic — what actually moves, and what doesn't? +

Moves: demographics, problem lists, allergies, medications, immunizations, encounters w/ discrete vitals, lab results (LOINC-mapped), documents (PDFs), images (DICOM references), care team assignments, balances and aging. Doesn't move automatically: custom Epic SmartForms (we rebuild in Vita templates), MyChart messages older than 24 months (member-level export available), and Epic-proprietary order sets (we ship Vita order sets that map 1:1 to the common ones). Median data fidelity audit: 99.4%.

Voice charting accuracy — what model and what pipeline? +

A medical-domain Whisper-derivative for ASR, then a fine-tuned Llama-family reasoning model for structuring. Both run in our HIPAA-compliant infrastructure (US data residency). Audit logs retain every input and output for 7 years; you can review them per-encounter. WER is 3.4% on clinical speech, validated quarterly against an independent dataset. We publish a model card and a no-PHI-training contractual commitment.

Insurance eligibility and claim submission — do you do that, or is it an add-on? +

Included in the base $200/provider price. Real-time eligibility (270/271) runs at scheduling — typical response 1.18 seconds. Claim submission (837P) goes the moment the note is signed. Remits (835) post automatically. We connect to Change Healthcare, Availity, and Waystar — about 1,408 payers covered. ERAs reconcile to claims without manual touch in 94% of cases.

Practice management — scheduling, statements, recall — full PM, or partial? +

Full PM. Scheduling with provider preferences and template blocks, waitlist auto-fill, recall (annual physicals, mammograms, A1c follow-ups), patient statements with one-click pay (Stripe-backed), payment plans, refunds, and a reporting suite that ties RVUs to providers. The reporting layer is good enough that most practices retire their separate BI tool within 90 days.
