Trove is a marketplace for handmade ceramics, textiles, jewelry, wood, and leather — built around the maker, not the algorithm. No ads above your shop, no dupes underneath it. 4% per sale on Studio. That's it.
Eight typeset templates by working designers — no theme marketplace, no Liquid to learn. Add a banner, an about-the-maker page, a custom domain. Looks like a magazine, runs like Shopify.
Four editors run a new themed drop every week — "Vessels for a slow morning", "Mended objects", "After the kiln". Featured makers see 14× the regular sell-through that week.
Print labels at home (USPS, Royal Mail, Sendle). EU VAT collected automatically. Customs forms pre-filled from the listing. You make the work; Trove handles the paperwork.
Wheel-thrown stoneware fired in a wood kiln on a hill outside Asheville. Yuki throws every piece herself. Small batches, every Friday at noon ET.
"I started Yuki Pottery in a garage in 2019 after eight years cooking line at a restaurant in Tokyo. I make vessels for slow mornings — for the people who notice the lip of a cup."
No monthly fee on Maker. No per-listing fee on either. Stripe processing (2.9% + 30¢) is separate on both plans — we show it line-by-line on every payout email.
Sell over $5k a month? Studio pays for itself at $600/mo in sales. We do the math on your first payout email.
"On Etsy, my carafe sat between three drop-shipped lookalikes from a factory in Shenzhen. Trove put me in a drop next to a leather-binder in Bristol and a vase-maker in Kyoto. Two of my regulars now ask me when the next drop is. They didn't even know what 'a drop' was a year ago."
"And the customs paperwork. I shipped to Berlin last week and didn't fill out a single form. Trove handled VAT, the IOSS number, even the duty estimate the buyer saw at checkout."
Trove takes 8% on Maker (4% on Studio) of the item price plus shipping. Stripe takes 2.9% + 30¢ for the card. So a $100 sale with $12 shipping nets: $112 − 8.96 (Trove 8%) − 3.55 (Stripe) = $99.49 on Maker, or $103.97 on Studio. Every payout email shows the breakdown line-by-line.
Yes. Drop your Shopify export CSV or paste your Etsy shop URL — we'll import listings, photos, variants, and tags in under 14 minutes. We auto-rewrite descriptions to Trove's editorial tone in draft (you approve every one). Reviews don't carry over (Etsy doesn't expose them); we have a separate path for migrating those manually.
Optional. Trove Kraft is uncoated recycled kraft mailers + slip-cards starting at $0.42/unit (min 50). You can co-print your studio logo for a one-time $48 plate fee. Or use your own — Trove never requires Trove-branded packaging.
Four editors (Hana, Marcus, Priya, Ines — all working makers themselves) curate 47 drops a year. Every Friday the next month's drop themes are posted; you apply with 3 pieces and a short note. Acceptance rate is about 34%. Featured drops drive ~14× a maker's average sell-through that week.
Trove is registered for EU IOSS and UK VAT, so VAT is collected at checkout and remitted on your behalf. Customs forms are pre-filled from your listing's HS code (we suggest one when you create the listing). You print the label, slap it on, drop it at USPS / Royal Mail / Sendle / DHL. Studio gets discounted label rates — about 38% off USPS retail on average.
Three pieces, one paragraph about your studio, a custom URL. Your shop is live before the kiln finishes its overnight firing.
