Driveways and walks cleared on call after every snowfall, salted on icy mornings.
We started in 2011 with one truck and a push mower in Eastchester. Today fourteen of us tend Westchester yards — but the care per yard hasn’t changed.
Mara Ellison plans every planting by hand — not a salesperson with a clipboard and a stock plant list.
Fully insured with a certified arborist on the crew, so removals near the house are done right and on paper.
Compost-based and organic treatment programs — safe for kids, dogs and the bees in your beds.
Same foreman, same day every week. You’ll learn their names — and they’ll know your gate code.
Three projects from last year — same homeowners, same lots, photographed once we were done.
No pressure, no surprise invoices — just three honest steps.
Call or send the form. We come out, walk the property with you and listen to how you want to use the yard.
Mara drafts the planting plan and we send a clear, itemized estimate — the design and the quote both cost nothing.
Our crew installs the yard, then a maintenance plan keeps it looking the way it did on day one.
“Mara redrew our whole front bed and it has bloomed nonstop since May. The crew is quiet, fast and always cleans up. Best money we’ve spent on the house.”
“They built our bluestone patio in four days and it is dead flat — not one wobbly chair two summers on. Fair quote, no upcharges at the end.”
“Switched our lawn plan to Thicket after a bad year with another company. Grass came back thick and the organic program means the dog can roll in it. One rained-out reschedule, handled fine.”
“Their arborist took down a leaning maple right over our roof without a single broken shingle. Permits, insurance, cleanup — all sorted before I even asked.”
“Fall cleanups are flawless — they come back three times for leaves so I never see a brown lawn. Same two guys every year now, which I love.”
“We had a soggy corner that never drained. Thicket regraded it, set a dry creek bed and now it’s the prettiest spot in the yard. Smart people.”
We keep our routes tight so crews spend the day on yards, not the parkway. Outside these towns? Call us — we’ll be honest about it.
No vague “starting at” games. Here is exactly how Thicket charges — and what we stand behind.
From $180/mo, billed flat by the month — no per-visit surprises in your inbox.
Quoted free after a site visit — an itemized estimate you keep, with no obligation to book.
Every plant we install is guaranteed one full season — if it doesn’t take, we replace it on us.
Both. We’ll happily handle a single spring or fall cleanup with no strings attached. Many homeowners try us with a one-time job and roll into a weekly plan after — but that’s your call, never a requirement.
Yes — Mara Ellison, our staff landscape designer, draws every planting plan herself. She visits your property, checks the light and soil, and hand-draws a layout. You get a real plan, not a stock template a salesperson printed.
Fully. Thicket carries general liability and workers’ comp, and tree work is done or supervised by our ISA-certified arborist. We’ll send proof of insurance before any job — never let an uninsured crew near trees by your house.
We do. Alongside our standard program we offer a fully organic, compost-and-microbe-based lawn treatment — safer for kids, pets and pollinators. It costs a little more and takes a season to hit its stride, and we’ll be upfront about both.
In peak season, plan on three to six weeks from a signed estimate to the first day on site, then four to eight working days to build, weather permitting. Book in winter and you’ll usually get an earlier spring slot.
Tell us a little about your yard and we’ll set up a free site visit — usually within the same week. No pressure, no obligation.
