ALMARÉ is a small atelier representing architecturally significant homes along the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, and the high desert — sold quietly, by appointment, to people who will keep them well.
Most of what we represent never reaches an open market. We work from a quiet roster of architects, owners, and estate managers across eighteen regions — and we visit every home in person before we agree to carry it.
We match homes to owners who will care for them — not the highest bidder, the right one. After the sale we stay on: caretakers, seasonal opening, the local mason who knows the roof. Nine in ten of our owners keep us on for the life of the house.
Several owners open their residences for a handful of weeks each year. The same homes, the same standard — a fully staffed villa in Comporta in June, a desert house outside Marfa in the cool of October. Curated, never crowded.
Explore seasonal stays →We keep our footprint deliberately narrow. Knowing a region — its light, its builders, its planning quirks — matters more than covering the map.
“We have sold the same house in Comporta three times in twenty years — to three families who all still send a card at Christmas. That is the business.”
Every inquiry reaches a person, usually within a day. Describe the coastline, the light, the number of doors you'd like to leave open — and Elena will write back.
