Strand maps every supplier, mill, and farm in your chain — with verified origin documents, CO₂e per node, and certifications you can cite to a customs officer or your CFO.
From cotton field to retail shelf — every step, with photo, certificate ID, audit date, and the human you call when something looks wrong.
Same data, three audiences. The compliance lawyer sees the chain. The shopper sees a story.
Every supplier claim is paired with a document — certificate ID, audit PDF, mill license — or it gets flagged. 28,408 findings logged to date.
Maps cleanly to EU CSDDD risk hierarchy, EUDR origin requirements (cotton, leather, timber, soy, coffee, cocoa, beef, rubber), and the UK Modern Slavery Act statement.
Same ledger powers a customer-facing QR experience. Shoppers tap, see the farm, the factory, the impact — and the brand that earned the chain.
A claim is only "verified" on Strand if it passes document, third-party registry, and (for high-risk tiers) on-site audit. We say so when a claim is partial.
Suppliers upload certificates, audit reports, and origin documents through the supplier portal — in their own language, with reminders & deadlines.
Certificate IDs are checked against the issuing body's registry (GOTS, Fairtrade Int'l, Textile Exchange, FSC). Forged certificates are surfaced — we've caught 408 since 2022.
High-risk countries, high-risk commodities, and suppliers flagged by document review get an in-person audit by Bureau Veritas, SGS, or TÜV. Findings are time-bound to remediation.
A node is published as Verified, Pending, or Self-declared with a clear visual. We do not call self-declared data "verified" — that's how brands and regulators lose trust.

Yuki Pottery + Hana Made, a 28-person beauty studio, had 148 SKUs and no traceability program. Strand mapped every botanical, glass supplier, and shipping leg in time for their Climate Neutral application — typically a 6-month effort.
We are a 28-person company. Climate Neutral wanted twelve months of supplier evidence we hadn't yet collected. Strand showed up, talked to each of our 41 ingredient suppliers in their language, and we filed in time for the spring cohort.
The unfair advantage is the supplier-portal experience — our growers actually log in. They have never logged into a brand's compliance tool before.
14 issuing bodies' registries cross-checked. Strand surfaces forged or expired certificates automatically.
Pay for the products you trace. Supplier seats are always free — we want them on the platform.
For indie brands building a first traceability program.
For growing brands shipping to Europe.
For multi-brand groups and large food companies.
Three layers, ranked by claim risk. Tier-1 (low risk, e.g. EU-issued certificate with a valid registry ID) is document + registry check. Tier-2 (sensitive regions or commodities) adds a paid on-site audit by Bureau Veritas, SGS, or TÜV. Tier-3 (high-risk: cotton from listed regions, leather, gold) requires both. We don't use blockchain anchoring — the bottleneck is human verification at the source, not data immutability.
Yes for CSDDD — risk-tiered supplier register, salient-issues identification, prevention and remediation tracking, annual statement. For CSRD ESRS S2 (workers in the value chain) and E1 scope 3, our data feeds your inventory tool. EUDR support is built-in: 10-meter geo-anchored origin for the seven regulated commodities, with the EU Information System submission format.
Textile fibres: GOTS, OCS, GRS, RCS, RAS, RWS. Chemistry: OEKO-TEX 100, bluesign, ZDHC MRSL + RSL. Labour: Fairtrade, SA8000, WRAP, Fair Trade USA. Forest & land: FSC, PEFC, Rainforest Alliance. Food: USDA Organic, EU Organic, Demeter. Climate: Climate Neutral, SBTi-aligned. Animal welfare: RWS, LWG, RDS. Where a certifier has a public registry, we cross-check IDs in near real-time.
Median 12 days. We import your tech pack and BOM from your PLM (Centric, Backbone, PTC FlexPLM), generate supplier invites in their language, and our onboarding team chases responses. 84% of suppliers complete onboarding within 14 days; the long tail is usually small mills without email.
Yes. Each SKU gets a strand.app/t/<id> URL that you can encode on a hangtag QR. You choose what's public (typically: origin, certifications, footprint per unit, sustainability story) and what stays internal (supplier names, wages, contract terms). Default mode is "Brand-named, supplier-anonymized" — most brands open up further over time as suppliers consent.
Send us your BOM or a tech pack. We'll return a verified chain map for your next collection in 12 days — at no charge.
