Reformer Pilates
Spring-loaded resistance through a full-body sequence — the studio's signature class.
A boutique studio of eight reformers and small classes, where precise, low-impact work builds strength you can feel in a month.
One full reformer class, on us — no membership required. The best way to understand pilates is to feel it once, with an instructor setting your springs and watching your form.

Every reformer class is capped at 8 — one machine each · reserve a spot up to 14 days out in the Poise app.
Poise is a single, considered room on Bishop's Row — eight reformers, a mirrored barre studio, and tall windows that face north so the light stays even all day. Small on purpose; it's why your instructor knows your spring settings.
Every Poise instructor is comprehensively certified — hundreds of training hours, not a weekend course — and teaches the same small rooms week after week.
Comprehensively certified after 600 hours; opened Poise on Bishop's Row in 2019.
Pre- and postnatal certified; teaches the studio's gentlest reformer classes.

Eight classes over three months — a steady twice-a-week rhythm.
"Three months in, my back stopped being the thing I think about every morning. I came for the aesthetics and stayed for that."
"I did prenatal reformer through my third trimester and postnatal classes after. Ingrid knew exactly what my body could and couldn't do each week."
"I've tried every boutique studio in the city. Poise is the only one where the instructor remembers my name, my injury, and my spring settings."

Grippy socks are required on the reformer — bring a pair or buy one here for $18. Wear fitted clothing, and arrive fifteen minutes early for a quick reformer orientation.
Pilates builds strength through spring resistance and controlled, full-range movement on the reformer. Barre uses small, repetitive pulses and your own bodyweight at the barre. Pilates emphasizes core and alignment; barre emphasizes muscular endurance. Most members do both.
None at all. Every first-timer gets a fifteen-minute orientation before class, and instructors set your springs and check your form throughout. Reformer pilates is genuinely beginner-friendly.
Fifteen minutes. That gives us time to set up your reformer, walk you through the carriage and straps, and answer questions before the class begins.
Yes — dedicated prenatal and postnatal reformer classes, taught by certified instructors. Postnatal work focuses on core and pelvic-floor recovery, and we ask for clearance from your provider first.
Grippy socks are required on the reformer for safety. Bring a pair or buy one at the studio for $18. Otherwise, fitted, stretchy clothing — nothing baggy that could catch in the springs.
