"If I had to Google an ingredient, it didn't go in the bag."
Crumb began on a Tuesday in the snack aisle. Our founder, Priya, was holding two boxes of "healthy" crackers and squinting at the back of each one. One had a list of seven things. The other had twenty-six — half of them she couldn't pronounce, and a few she had to look up later at home.
She didn't love the homework. So she went home and made crackers from what was already in the cupboard: whole wheat flour, a few seeds, good olive oil, salt, a sprig of rosemary from the windowsill. They were better. The kids ate the whole tray. The recipe fit on one line.
That one-line rule is the entire company now. No seed-oil filler to cut costs. No gums to fake a texture. No preservatives to buy another six months of shelf life. If a real cook wouldn't reach for it, it doesn't go in the bag — and the label always tells you the truth.
Here's the entire ingredient list for our Rosemary & Sea Salt cracker — printed in full, because there's nothing to hide behind a "natural flavour".
Stone-ground whole wheat, sunflower seeds, golden flax, sesame, cold-pressed olive oil, sea salt, rosemary. That's the whole list.
Our Rosemary & Sea Salt cracker is the one people re-order on a subscription. Crisp, properly seeded, with rosemary that tastes baked-in rather than dusted-on — sturdy enough for a wedge of cheddar, good enough to eat straight from the bag.
Pick any six bags — mix crackers, granola and bars across all three lines — and we'll box them as your monthly Snack Drawer. Bars are individually wrapped and lunchbox-sized, so the morning scramble is one less thing.

"First cracker my mother-in-law asked for the name of. I read her the ingredient list off the back and she just said 'oh, finally.'"
"The Berry & Oat granola actually tastes of berries, not sugar. My daughter has it dry as a snack and I stopped feeling guilty about it."
"Cherry & Almond bars live in my gym bag now. Five ingredients, no chalky aftertaste, and they don't fall apart in the bottom of a backpack."
"I do the Snack Drawer subscription for three lunchboxes. The Everything cracker is the one that always goes first. Worth every cent."

It depends on the line. The seeded crackers contain wheat and sesame. The granola contains oats and almonds. The fruit-and-nut bars contain tree nuts — almonds or cashews depending on the flavour. Every bag prints its allergens in bold, and our bakery handles nuts, so a "may contain" note appears on all crackers as a precaution.
Per line: the seeded crackers are nut-free in recipe, but they contain wheat, so they are not gluten-free. The granola contains almonds and is made with oats. The fruit-and-nut bars contain almonds or cashews — but they are gluten-free, with no wheat in any bar. If you need strictly nut-free, the crackers are your line; if you need gluten-free, the bars are.
Very little, and never refined. The seeded crackers have 4g of sugar per 142g bag — most of it natural to the whole wheat. Granola is sweetened only with a touch of raw honey, around 6g per serving. The bars get all their sweetness from the dried fruit itself — no added sugar, no syrups, no juice concentrate.
That's who we made it for. The crackers and bars are lunchbox staples — mild flavours, sturdy enough not to crumble in a bag. The bars are individually wrapped in kid-sized portions. One note for parents of under-fours: whole nuts and seeds can be a choking hazard, so we'd suggest the granola and bars from school age, and breaking crackers into smaller pieces for toddlers.
