We ship the brand, not the deck.
Tessellate is a six-person design studio in Lisbon. We take founders from a half-formed idea to a shipped identity, marketing site, and product UI — one senior team, one Figma file, eight to ten weeks.
Twelve weeks of focus, framed.
Each engagement closes with a brand book, a built site, and a product surface — not a folder of mockups. A few we can show in public.
A full rebrand and shipping-rate web app for a maritime freight startup — naming, identity, marketing site, dashboard.
A calm, type-led identity for a sleep-science clinic, end to end.
Editorial system + launch site for a solar-finance fund.
A design system and component library for a property-management platform — 84 tokens, 40 components, one living spec.
Four disciplines, one team.
No account managers, no offshore handoff. The senior people who scoped your work are the ones who draw it.

Naming, logotype, type and colour system, and a brand book your team can run without us.
Marketing sites
Designed and built — responsive, fast, CMS-ready. We hand you the keys, not a Figma file to rebuild.
Product UI
Dashboards, onboarding, and core flows — drawn against a real design system, shipped to your repo.
Motion & launch
Launch film, micro-interactions, and the social cut-downs — so the work lands the day it ships.
A studio sprint, not an open-ended retainer.
We work in fixed eight-to-ten-week sprints with a single point of contact and a weekly Friday review. You always know what's shipping next and what it costs.
- One Figma file. Source of truth for brand, site, and product — no version drift.
- Weekly shipped artifact. Something real lands every Friday — never a status deck.
- Built, not just designed. We ship to your repo in React + Tailwind, ready to deploy.
Fixed scope. Fixed price.
Three ways to work with the studio. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices — you sign off on scope before we start drawing.

Founders who shipped with us.
"They named the company, drew the brand, and shipped the site in nine weeks. We went into our seed round with a product that already looked Series A."
Founder, Quartermast
"Most studios hand you a Figma file and wish you luck. Tessellate handed us a deployed site and a design system our two engineers actually understood."
Product Lead, atrium
"The Friday reviews changed how we work. Every week something real shipped — no theatre, no 60-slide updates. Just better than last week."
Head of Eng, Halcyon
Before you book the call.
The things founders ask us in the first email — answered up front.
Do you actually build the site, or just design it? +
We build. Marketing sites ship in Next.js + Tailwind to your repo, and product UI ships as production components against a real design system. You get a running site, not a Figma file to hand to a contractor.
What happens if scope changes mid-sprint? +
Small reprioritisations inside the agreed scope are free — we'd rather build the right thing. A genuine scope expansion becomes a fixed-price change order you sign before we start it. No silent overage on the invoice.
Who owns the work and the source files? +
You do — fully, on final payment. That includes the Figma file, the brand book, fonts licensed in your name, and a clean Git history. We keep nothing locked behind us.
Can you work with our in-house engineers? +
Often the best outcome. We pair on the component architecture, open PRs against your conventions, and leave behind a system your team can extend. About a third of our engagements are co-build with an in-house team.
How far out are you booking? +
We run two Studio engagements at a time, so the calendar fills four to six weeks ahead. Sprints can sometimes slot in sooner. The intro call is where we confirm a real start date — never a vague "soon."
Tell us what you're building.
A twenty-minute intro call — no deck, no pitch. We'll tell you honestly whether a Sprint, the Studio, or a Partner engagement fits, and when we could start.
